Just a quick little thought:
At a Bible study about a year ago, we opened up to the book of Luke chapter 8 verses 40-56, which I encourage you to read.
It’s so beautiful to see how when Jesus’s mission is to save the whole word, He does it by taking the day to heal an ill, weak, shy woman and a dying little girl, both in a little town found in the middle-eastern part of the world.
He addresses both of these girls so gently and with such tenderhearted love. He calls them “daughter” and “little girl.” He is so gentle. He cares. This is His heart. The disciples saw that.
I think we’re also called to see that.
God’s power, the power He has that created Heaven (things we have yet to see) and earth (people, animals, cells, brains, trees, volcanoes, canyons, and the change of a caterpillar to a butterfly), and the universe (stars, moons, galaxies, planets, black holes, and gravity) is manifested here in this piece of history by becoming a man and touching individual lives: lives of people that we sometimes tend to neglect.
I think we’re called to see that Jesus, in all His power, spends the day dedicated to these two helpless individuals.
What a beautiful heart our God has.
Friends, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us, His children. Wow. It’s SO important to know this, but also so important to see how He uses this power. Let us follow His example.
keep going, Meg. what you’re seeing and saying is important.
